Juno 106 Sub Osc problem...

Hi All,

I have problems with voices 5 and 6 on a Juno 106, which sounded in certain settings, not all.

I removed them for a soak, whilst putting in 2 chips I knew work and it turns out the problems are specific to the slot.

For example, testing the Sub Osc on both slots doesn't produce sound.

The settings were Sub 10, Freq 10, Kbd 10, Level 5 with decay 10, sustain 5 and release 2.5 - all else at 0. Waveforms off.

Is the MC5534A for those two slots the culprit, or are there other avenues I should check before I desolder it and test it in another slot...

Can the acetone bath also work for this chip or is it a case of buying a replacement ?

Any ideas would be most helpful.

Regards to you all...

Tony
