Quantum Audio Labs

I picked up a QAL board off of craigslist in Portland, OR the other day, and I'm dying for schematic!

I absolutely love the way it soudns...big without mud, and very well chosen fixed eq. Bottom line is I want to put whatever I need into it to make it perfect.

Fortunately, the ICs are all socketed...easily swapped. Sadly, one channel has a grounding problem, and the stereo out ("program") is quiet on the left channel. Not such a biggie, if I was only using the mixer as a sidecar (psyched...cinemag transx on all mic input channels..six), but I'd really like to get this thing to spec (or better, perhaps, with new opamps) and use it as the hub of my home daw set up.

Sorry...to the ponit: Anyone know of a genius pro audio person that could troubleshoot some basic issues and reccomend a opamp swap in the pacific northwest? I can drive the mixer a few hours in any direction, and I'll put whatever I need to ($) into it to get it running.

The rub is that I don't have a schematic, nor can I find ANYthing on the web...

Please gawd, let their be a savior for favorite new piece of gear.

The only Quantum info in my files is the manual for a QM-128 which was a 12 in/8 bus mixer.

As for someone in your area of the world, the only guy I know personally (and can highly recommend) is Rick Chinn in the Seattle area.

Have Quantum, need schematics!

Hey Brian, My Quantum says QM-8A on the top, and on the back pannel it says QM-1208A. I think I could really use those schematics. Please contact me at mayorshouse67@yahoo.com.
I also have sone QM-2200 modules that I want to rack. Any chance on some info on these?

QM 3000 Channel Strip, Master Section & PSU

Hiya,

Being a collector of obscure and different high end audio gear, I've just picked up a QM3000 Channel Strip and Quad mix master section, with a power supply. I've attached a picture of the unit, the connections at the rear, and the PSU. After any info that any one knows about this stuff, I'd be keen to talk...the unit works, but I'd like to re-cap and step the PSU up to 240v (Australia).. To save me the time, I'd love to know if any one knows what the connections & in/outs on the back are as well... thanks in advance!!

Very belated reply....

I dont have any idea if the QM-128 schemos in my files are even remotely similar to a 1208A.
