tb303 Repair - Roland 303

I recently purchased a tb303. The step button does not function. And two of the notes sometimes double trigger. I assume it needs the switches replaced.

So, I'm curious if someone could point me in the right direction to purchase new switches, etc.

Also, if anyone has recommendations for good repair shops that I can trust to fix this box up a little bit.

Otherwise, everything else appears to be functioning fine. Thanks for any suggestions!

This guy seems to know a thing or two about tb-303 switches:
Sealed tactile switches for TB-303, TR-606, TR-808, JP-8, polysix and others

It depends where you are located in terms of sourcing, but you shouldn't have too many difficulties getting hold of some.

The closest are Omron B3F-4050 but you will have to file the sides of the stub at the top, that the button presses on to.
Take your time pushing the button on as you don't want to damage the button, or the switch. You should need to use some force to push the buttons on so the buttons don't come loose, but you shouldn't need too much. If it doesn't go on nice, file some more.

If you don't file them straight, in the extreme, your buttons may not look straight, or catch the side of the casing. It's not that difficult, you don't have to be Michelangelo.

There's no other way to do it as the old dimensions are obsoleted. Don't bother getting dust sealed buttons. The originals probably stop working because they have been sitting in an acrid environment at the back of someone's cupboard for 20 years.
