DIY "Mastering-quality" D/A Converter

Hi guys,

I've been searching through the forum and on the internet, but I couldn't find any schematics of a DIY analog-to-digital converter that could satisfy a mastering-quality-test.

Has anyone of you got a spare schematics or know where I could find one?

Thanks in advance.

Check this out. They claim they will sell kits again, but they seem to want to use unobtainable parts...

Or you can simply buy a ready-made one:

Or if you want to do a bit of DIY, have a look at the Texas Instruments PCM4222 evaluation board.

Hi
The chance of DIY 'ing an ADC or DAC that improves on an manufacturers evaluation board is very slim unless you happen to have a lot of experience in AF and VHF signals and a serious amount of exceedingly high resolution test equipment. Sticking an EVM board in a box with a power supply is probably about as good as you can get, then 'fiddle' if you wish.
The EVM boards will have had a serious amount of experience poured into them by the chip manufacturers as it is their 'showcase'.
