Hi
You need to be at least a little specific to get any real answer.
All desk chassis are 'custom' to the particular manufacturer so you need to know which you want for a start, then each product 'line' will possibly have it's own variation.

Neotek chassis were made from aluminum extrusion with either wood or aluminum side panels joining it all together. A trip to your local metal supplier would give you an idea what's available. I'd say you are better off starting from scratch than trying to morph your own modules into an existing chassis.
Best,
Ike

I think if I were to undertake this task today...I'd build around the API VPR spec.

I think I recall seeing 8 channel "tubs" with backplanes over at Classic API. Bolt those together to a frame of your design until you get the desired configuration. Do some wiring, then populate with all the modules you want.

You can bolt 19" metal racks to each other. So vertical 19" blindplates are channelstrips..

Where are you? I happen to know of a large format frame, I think it was an "Olive" console, sitting under a tarp in an apple orchard.
Best,
Ike

Hi Nickbenjones,

I happen to have a large format chassis available for sale. It is the chassis from a Neotek Series II 28x8x2. If you would like to get some more information on it feel free to check out the thread I posted a few days ago. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions!

Sadly, there ain't much to tell. I only got a quick glimpse at it, but it is sitting under a decaying tarp in an apple orchard. All of the modules were gutted out of it at some point. It still has VU meters in the bridge, but they are full of earwigs and other creatures.
It came from a studio in Toronto, whose name escapes me (I never had any dealings with them).
Best,
Ike
