Big by Langley craps out when connecting master buss

My first post on this forum. Thought I've been a long time reader

Here's my issue: I recently got hired to help a collegue out at a struggling studio. They have an (Amek) Big by Langley console. The board's been out of service for a while with a dead power supply. They recently fixed that issue. I noticed that when I plug any cable into the Master Buss outputs, the left channel goes all funk when monitoring, and the recording out the master buss sounds horrible...

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be?
I've already taken the board appart, cleaned it and put it back together. That helped many of the individual channel strips work better, but the master buss is still whack!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi
Dirty molexes, dirty insert jacks or simply something has 'died'. If the master out is actually feeding 2 or more 'destinations' check that you don't have it unbalanced or other strange wiring. The master outs CAN be run into an unbalanced load but you may have some faulty wiring.

Hi Matt,
I've also seen some issues with the Buss Amp card that plugs into the master section on both a Big and an AMEK Media 5.1. In both cases the motherboard had sagged a bit and the buss card wasn't making full contact. You could probably describe this better, I haven't seen one since last year sometime.
Best,
Ike

Thanks for your suggestions!
Took the summing amp card out, cleaned it out, re-set it into the slot, and all problems are gone!
