Okay, I just started reading about this mic amp module from Phillips/ Graeme John Cohen from 1984 so I decided to find some other info. I did a search on Gearslutz and came up with zero results.
double balanced from input to output--pretty cool design. Does anyone have experience with this? Does anyone know anything about the OM1556 that they care to share?
I sort of like the pin type of this chip (chip, right?) for a through-hole construction. It'd be a little easier to work with, I imagine. But that is only a guess.
Anyway, it certainly looks interesting. Of course I have no idea what it sounds like or if any of these little guys are even available anyplace at this time. I guess just for the sake of learning more, I would like to read about this from any fellow forum members.
