| Korg Ms-20 Sample and Hold
Hello,
I just purchased a Korg Ms-20 and none of the Sample and Hold patch points are functioning (in, out, clock). Everything else seems to be fine.
Before I resort to sending this into a local synth tech in NYC, I'm wondering whether someone here can advise me on how to approach the S&H section myself.
The patch inserts are pretty dirty (upon investigation of the inside with a flashlight, the tip connectors are really oxidized). I've given them a little shot of deOxit and a swipe with a Q-tip but that hasn't brought them back to life.
I guess my questions are:
-Whats the procedure for opening up the Ms-20 to get at the S&H section and patchbay?
- Can I clean the patch bay inserts with 70% isopropyl? I've seen a previous poster recommend the patch burnisher and 99% isopropyl, but I don't even think I can find those two things in the states. Anyone have any other tricks for cleaning up the patchbay?
- Is there a molex connector etc for the S&H section that may be disconnected? Something super obvious causing this?
Any advice on the S&H and what may be cause the three patch inserts to not work would be very helpful!
Thanks
Dan
