Cables

Hey all...
Don't post much here, but read often. Looking to make some new XLRs for my remote rig and was wondering what type of cable everyone prefers, as well as good sites online to order from. Every site I've checked has Canare star-quad, but I'm looking for something a little bit nicer.... Thanks for any input.

Check out the Sommer cables, we've been using it alot lately, cheaper than Canare, lot's of different choices and price brackets and it's real flexible.

Sommer Cable

Cheers
Tim.

What does this mean? Nicer sounding? Nicer to work with? Nicer looking? Nicer price? What is it about the Canare that you want nicer?

I've always been partial to Mogami and Canare.. Belden's also good. I've heard good things about Gotham Audio cable and Gepco, but haven't tried either. Blue's cable assemblies also get mentioned now and again. Also, Requisite Audio has some assemblies.. pricey, though. Never tried them.
