Soundcraft Ghost problems.. Hi y'all I just bought a second hand Ghost LE 32 this weekend, tested it at the studio where I bought it and took it home. Once hooked up I keep having problems with all line inputs (line in on mix A and tape returns)... When I play some (unbalanced) tracks some volumes drop all of a sudden and only come back when I give a good yank at the input gain so that it clips and then the sound is back .... but only for a little while. .. this is happening on all channels (line in A & B) when they're on the master faders , but not when listening through the Mix-B... I'm calling Soundcraft support center Belgium later this day to find out if they know about this.. seems something wrong with my main mix buss ???? (oh yeah, I don't have any powerconditioning going on and I'm measuring 50V on the 48V rail, 18V on the 17V rail and almost 7V on the 5V rail... is this normal or not on 230V AC ?) Herwig

I have the exact same problem. Did you ever find out the problem? Ever fix it? Thanks, kidmusic

Just sent you email explaining. Sent the board to a local soundcraft tech and he replaced a flatcable. Board is working 100% ever since. Soundcraft=watch out for cold solder joints. Herwig

Thanks Herwig - good tips! I really enjoy the Ghost, but that problem has been a pain to workaround. -kidmusic
