Adapter to connect LCD monitor to stand

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, so sorry if there's a more appropriate forum elsewhere.

I have a standard microphone floor stand, and I'm looking for an adaptor so I can mount an LCD monitor (Acer, 21.5") to it. Any ideas?

i don't know of anything off the shelf to do this, but some one here just might. You may have to make one.

timmmmmbbbeeerrrrrrrr.

The plumbing isn't hard at all. There are even slide-together mounting plates for monitors so that you can slip them easily into a location and slip them back out again. Adapting a mic clip to the wall-mount half of one of these would be a trip to the hardware store for a bolt or two and a cable clamp, pipe clamp, piece of hardware or at worse, pipe strap. It would be even easier just to use a piece of wood and the right screws for the back of the monitor (M1 maybe?) and screw that to a mic clip. But i think the whole idea can only end up in disaster.

Thanks for the replies guys. Actually didn't have notifications turned on so didn't realise anyone had responded.

Got lucky in the end and found the perfect desk on ebay. Working out nicely. I think you're right in saying that DIYing it may just have ended in disaster...
