Groove tubes Vipre repair / schematics

Hello,
I'm new in this forum,
I'm asking an help for a Groove Tubes Vipre I bought used.
The problems is that I only hear distorted sound, in any gain level and with any mic, of course there is something wrong. A good technician told me that would be more easy to find the problem with the electric schematics. Does any of you have it?
Any help is welcome.
Thanks a lot
Peter

I don't have schematics, but I've attached the user manual. There's a troubleshooting section in there. Also, have the tubes checked first. Great pre-amp!
Good luck.

Michael

If you contact Fender's service department (Fender bought GT), they might be able to get a schematic for you. They got a schematic for me of my STP-G easily enough. They will not support old GT Products, but they seem to be OK acting as a go-between with the pre-buyout custodians of valuable info like this.

Good luck!

Please let me know how things go for you. My ViPre has all of a sudden decided it doesn't want to work anymore. No Input Signal whatsoever neither Mic nor Instrument Inputs work.

If anyone has an idea. Let me know. Thanks

Oh...! I found the problem. A short circuit on a patch bay.
But... it would be nice to have an address within Europe for servicing should the need arise.
Cheers

AWESOME!!!

Thank you soooo much for posting this!

I worry about my Vipre often, I don't want to be without it. I had to send it in to Groove Tubes several years ago, before Fender.. it was expensive, but they fixed it up beautifully and it has been a hot-rod ever since. At least with this schematic, I would have a fighting chance if something went wrong..

Thanks again!

You're welcome. Hey, when you pop open the STP-G, look for Aspen Pittman's signature inside the box. That's pretty cool.
