Need help disassembling v67i!

Hi Slutz!

I'm doing the whole "modded low-end gear for a hi-fi-ish sound" thing, and I want to hit up my MXL V67i.

Im definitely cutting out that secondary inner windscreen to increase clarity, and switching to a higher gain FET for less distortion... hopefully change the caps too, if I can find a list of their values online.....

BUT:

How do I get it out of that pretty green dress it's wearing?

I saw the site with a pictorial guide for disassembling the MXL 990, but will all the instructions apply to the V67? Mostly Im worried about: "unscrew the top half from the bottom half".

It has switches below the grill, which would not allow such an unscrewing.

Has anyone modded one of these mics before? If so please help. Also, I'd like to know what mods you did, how they went, and any suggestions you may have for me...

Thanks!

Best,
Fishkrakkah.
