Exclamation tube mic multipattern power supply - HELP

tube mic multipattern power supply - HELP-dsc02492.jpg

Hi all,

I have a multpattern tube mic that is stuck on omni. I opened up the power supply to find two small white wires disconnected from their original point.

the microphone is a SMPro audio MC-03 MK1. I would imagine this is a generic multipattern power supply.

I am including pictures of the power supply as-is. Could someone with a similar or other multipattern tube mic post pictures of the inside of their power supply so I could try to figure out where they should go?

Thanks for your help, I need that mic for a session tonight!
Michel.

The switch selects among patterns. If I was in your position, I'd look at the switch to see where the wires had been disconnected or cut.

Thanks Bill,

That was my first tought, but I can see no indication of where they would have been originaly.

Maybe at the switch (one at the complete Cardiod position and the other at figure 8 ?)

I've got a PSU very similar to this out in my shop, unfortunately we are buried under a heap of snow as of last night.

I'm going to run out and take a peek real quick, if you don't hear from me soon call in the Saint Bernard with the bourbon.

Without knowing if they are exactly the same proceed at your own discretion.

Let me know if the photos are enough:

1 white wire from the pcb goes to the pad where the wiper lands when the polarity switch is in omni.

The other white wire terminates at pin 4 of the 7pin connector.

Wow. a big thank you. They look very much alike. I will study your pictures next to my PSU.

Should help me understand where things go.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks MicDaddy, I can report that it works wonderfuly.

2 issues, the two white wires and a resistor on the pattern switch was unsoldered.

Thanks again to all for your help.

Michel.
