Peavey VK 100 Head replacing input jacks and pots

on a Valveking 100 Head Peavey... the input jacks are not loose as far as the bolts go, but when I plug the instrument cable in, it wiggles causing shorts in the signal...is there a way to tighten them up? also the volume pot on the clean channel needs to be replaced...it's causing shorts in the signal as well... is this something that I can do by taking it apart and soldering new parts on? or should I take it in to a tech.... does someone have pictures of a Valveking opened up?
