Thread Starter | Hot Rod Deluxe Loss of Power
I had no problems with my HRD for about 8 months then one night at a gig I noticed a loss of power. It happens after the amp is on for 50 to 55 minutes when I shut it down after it cools down it will run fine until it hits the 55 minute mark. If anyone has experienced the same problem any help would be appricated. Thanks |

These amps are notorious for dry solder joints, go through the whole circuit board and resolder every joint..... or I got Rob at Wienbrock amps to rip the guts out and put a real point to point wienbrock amp in the chassis. He reused the iron and box. It now is an amazing and wonderful instrument, a world apart from the slightly bland amp it was before. Mine was a deville btw, but I have heard the results of the deluxe conversion too. Equally special. |
