Guitar stomp boxes on SSL insert Hi, is there any schematic on the web to convert the level/impedance from an ssl insert send to an guitar stomp box (electro harmonix, mxr...) and back to the insert return. I think I need an impedance matching device on the input, than an level regulator to match the insert level to the input of the stomp box. From the output on the stomp box, I need an level boost/cut device and an impedance match to go back to the insert return. Does anybody have an schematic or could help me building such a unit ? Could it be done with opamps ? wolfgang

I use a ReAmp box to do just that. http://www.reamp.com/

I've been using my Little Labs PCP so I can use multiple stomp boxes. I sugested to SSL that they do exactly that on the SSL9000j (via the High Z button). They gave me an "Are you mad?!" look and scribbled down some notes.

hi Wolfgang, I usually take if off tape into a reamp box. Then go through all the enough stomp boxes so that it really doesn't matter how I mic'ed or recorded the original source. Then into a DI, then to a nice pre and then into a strip. I do most reamping at mix time so there's always tons of great pres and di's sitting around unused. There's a schematic on the jensen site for a line level/impedance to guitar level/impedance converter if you're interested in a real simple DIY project. Cheers, jason
