Ward beck mp2 vu meters

I own a mackie 24/8 the vu meters on my meter bridge is broken. I was looking for some external vu meters and i found some ward beck mp2 vu meters at a good price, can anyone tell me how should i connect these meters to my mackie 24/8 also how good are these meters vs the coleman, i could not find any info on the web. thanks in advance for any help

You would want to use a buffer between the VU meter and the output of the mixer. like this: VU Buffer kit page

I don’t know those specific meters though. I just got a NOS pair of Simpson VU meters! I think I will use the JLM buffer on them unless somebody suggests something better

Great meters. Mine are stand-alone meters and have a little circuit board mounted directly to the meter posts which has buffering resistors and trim pot. You can drive them with one of your headphone outputs to avoid placing the buffer amp on your mix out.
