Active Compact Monitors - Noiseless?

I'm a voiceover guy with a tiny home "studio-closet". When the house was being built we set aside one of the walk-in closets and had it outfitted to be my recording/editing area. It's 4x8. I have used M-Audio monitors w/Sub for the past 6 years, and I want to get a second set of monitors. The KRK Rokit 6's are too large and "make noise"...the tone of hum was unacceptable. The monitors I have now are passive, with the amp in the back of the sub box. So, I need to know if there are any active monitors that are compact and do not produce any noise that will affect my voiceover. I set about 3.5 - 4' from the monitors. I don't want to power up/down all day. Is there such a beast?

There is no real reason why any powered monitors shouldn't be quiet enough but you are probably demanding a lot here and I would suggest you speak to a dealer who holds various types and audition some as you will be needing them to be rather quieter than most. You need to be able to 'take them back' if unsuitable. Studios with a computer and whatever running probably won't really notice a noise level that would be unworkable for you.
