Hello, I have a Soundcraft Venue board in for general renovation. It needs a lot of cleaning and I can handle that. However, on two of the strips the Peak LED are stuck lighting red all the time. There is absolutely nothing wrong the function of the strips - everything works. Gains are fine sounds good and distorts when turned way up. Since there are 2 strips witht the same problem I figured that somebody might have seen the same behavior and knows just what to look at. I thought it might be a cap but it turned out not to be it. Any ideas anybody? Thanks much, Greg |

If you replaced C28 (2.2 uf), then you either have a bad TR3, TR4 transistor or an opamp is blown feeding the peak circuit. Jim Williams Audio Upgrades |

I posted the same question on prodigy-pro.com and Milan was very quick to post the schem of the peak circuit and as you he suggested the TR4. It actually turned out to be R72 - simply an open resistor....in both channels strips. Go figure. I am impressed with the help from these boards. That is so great. Thanks, Greg lydmuren.dk |
