Undo API 525 stereo link?

Hello geekslutz,

I bought a pair of API 525's used and they seem to have been modded for stereo linking.
When in my lunchbox they affect each others gain reduction and also seem to distort/overload sooner.

The modules both have a green jumper wire installed and some PCB traces cut (see pics).

As I don't want to use these in stereo, what would be the best way to undo the mod?
Removing or cutting the jumper wire or leaving the jumper in place and simply stick a piece of electrical tape over the pin for stereo linking (pin 6) on the edge connectors?

Also, could anybody tell me why two traces on the PCB would have been cut? Is this part of the 525 stereo mod?

Hope there's some API-savvy slutz out here!

I have seen othe API modules come through the shop with those kind of track cuts and jumpers, some of which is done at the factory. Can't help further with the original question.
