How to build/buy sync cables for Lynx timeline I have a pair of Lynx timelines that will help me slave my JH-110 1" 8track to Pro Tools HD. Unfortunately there were no cables or manual with the units. The units seem to power up and all buttons work. Does anyone out there know where I can find diagrams to build the cables? I am good with soldering and following directions, I built several D.I.Y. contraptions The (MCI) JH-110 has the remote, so how do I get it all to work? Thanks!

Thanks Brian. I can gleen some pin assignents from those data sheets, but how does the flow go? One manual page refers to a "Y" cable. Do I find a M/F block connector to tap in between the controller and the deck?

I can see that there is a lot of wiring involved, I have some of the connectors necessary, the Cinch Jones are available from Mouser, I was wondering how my remote would connect (if at all) once this wiring harness replaced my remote wiring. Could you then control the machine functions from Pro Tools? Anyone ever try this?

| The MCI decks only had one remote connector so if you want to use an existing remote mode AND a synchronizer, you need the Y cable. Also, you'll probably also need to cut jumpers inside the MCI remote. If you can't find that info, I've got it somewhere. Either way, you're right -- it's a lot of wiring!

Thank you Brian and David. If anyone trips across any info (that isn't on-line) in your searches that pertains, I would be thrilled to archive, use, and save for the next person. I would be glad to cover any cost involved with getting it to me. So many projects, so little time! This is a great site, I just discovered it a few months ago. I really enjoy it a lot. Carry on.
