Otari Tech needed in Houston

I'm looking for a tech in the Houston area who has some experience with Otari machines. I have 2 MX-70's that need some maintenance and can't find anyone who can help. Does anyone know of any techs in the Houston area that could help?

I'm in Pittsburgh, but I too have looked for otari assistance on this forum. Ever since Rick Seegul left the tech service at otari has been nothing less than abysmal . I have schematics/manuals and a working mx70 that you could swap cards with etc. I'm willing to help if I can.
PS. I STILL need help with my 54C "project".

Thanks for the offer on swapping cards, but I actually have 2 MX70s. The 2nd is there "just in case" and for spare cards, rollers etc. My good unit is intermittently producing a slight "warbling type" sound during recording. Also, the tape on the supply reel and on the take up reel seem to get slightly out of alignment (i.e. when I stop tape and rewind, the tape on the take up reel is about 1/8" or more higher than the remaining tape). I think this may be somehow causing the warbling sound, but I can't figure out how to fix it (and don't want to try).

hi all, you might try Dana Hathaway at Otari in CA. He is very knowledgeable about Otari tape machines. Also maybe try Terry Palmer with Otari in Nashville.

Otari LA 800 877 0577
Otari Nashville 615 255 6080 (not sure if this one still works)
