Can anybody help me find schematics or anything on how to construct a 500Hz narrow band filter.

I assume you mean a notch filter at 500Hz, what is the application? It can be done, if it has to be passive then you need to know;

1] The source impedance
2] The load impedance
3] Depth of notch
4] Width of notch or bandwidth
5] Acceptable pass band loss

An active filter would be easier!

Passive notch filters are tough....

A state-variable filter would be the best aproach.

Narrow is tough to do passively, as tINY said. Here are schematics for simple filters on my personal site:
