Step up Step down power

Anyone had any good/bad experiences with step up transformers?
I have a client coming in soon and he will be coming with some 220 peices of gear. He's not wanting to switch the taps on the power supplies, so I am checking out step up transformers.

I actually need two units to plug into a single step up transformer, so can anyone throw me a bone here? I'll do the searching tomorrow, but I figured I'd check here first. At my last place I bought the x-formers, but they only had a single output.

Thanks

Add up the required wattage/amperage loads of the various devices, then select a step-up tranny with a somewhat higher rating. Electrical supply houses (suppliers for electricans) sell those, although they are unmounted, and thus need to be stuffed into a steel box with AC mains cords, fusing, etc.

When I was living in Germany I bought a tascam msr24s that was 220v and when I moved back to states I just bought a transformer and it worked flawlessly. It cost me around $50 dollars and was completely silent. It could either step up or down. I have also used lots of 110 gear(vintech, mesa boogie, vht ) in Germany with transformers for years and never had a problem. Just make sure you add up the watts and that the transformer can handle it and you should not have a problem.
