Digitec F500 problem...help

HI,

I have received my Digitec/Preco F500 recorder, all functions works properly apart the play mode.
When I push the play button the recorder starts and after one second it stops.
Rewind and forward are ok as all the other controls.
Tape lifter and roller works great.
Mine is the Preco/revised version without the phone control on the front panel, slightly different from the original one.
I'm thinking about remote connection problem or something similar, it seems that the machine needs to be connected to works properly, at least to playback.
Do you have some suggestions about this issue?
What can be and what can I do to solve this problem?
Hope to receive an help, very few infos online and no specialist in my town for this machine.
Many thanks.
Giorgio

Preco stops after a second

Preco stopping after one second. I have found that if the left hand spool is a small size, the torque is wrong and the tape tension will not pull the extreme left hand tape guide (which is a sensor) and the machine stops straight away. If he has not threaded the tape around that guide, the same thing happens. Failing all of that, there is probably a fault with the sensor itself, whether it’s a switch or something else, I don’t know
