my pro tools bugs/stops when I switch on/off the lights!!

I just moved my equipment in another room in my house and Ive been experiencing some problems that werent happening before.. ive noticed that a few times.. sometimes when I switch on/off the lights, my pro tools LE (I use a 002R) stops playing, or even bugs and the soft says it cant find the hardware anymore, so I have to switch it off and then on again. something's obviously wrong with the electrical instalation I guess.. what should I do ? anybody could help ? thanks

I've never had that problem with my 002r but you may have discovered a weak outlet. Perhaps there's too much fluctuation and dirty power coming from that outlet? Have you tried hooking up your power elsewhere? You may benefit from having a power bar with power conditioning. Try switching outlets first. Hope things work out!

I used another outlet in the same room and it doesnt seem to happen anymore! Thanks !

ehh I thought switching outlets resolved the problem, but I was wrong it's still happening..
