weired...turned it on today and the meters gave me the g16 greeting and now the meters work.....koolbeanz!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm...maybe not koolbeanz...
im sending a stereo mix to inputs 1+2 and im getting meter readings on 1,2,4,9,10,11,12....i suppose a service is in order..just the last time i brought it to a tech he said it was ****ed and it would cost me a grand to see if he could fix it..(even if he couldnt it'd cost same money)...any advice...

hello there, my fostex g16 is having similar symptoms....meters work, but they don't show the levels (in or out)....It was working when I last used the machine a few days ago...anly clues?

Hello again!

Thought that the problem was gone, but here it is again. But now, I have posted on Youtube the problem for you to see.

There is an obvious noise on the rewind motor. Sounds like a bad bearing or something. But I think it might be an electric pulse or something...


Tape path had been toroughly cleaned and the tape is brand new.

Any thoughts?
