Thread Starter | A little help please... Broken adat cable
Hi, thanks in advance for any help. I had the tip of an adat cable break off inside the jack. What can I do to get ot out, or should I just replace the part all together? I am taking it to my tech tommarow, I was hoping to get a little info before I left. Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about the ADAT audio cable. It's optical so you'll probably have to replace the whole cable, unless you have replacement ends available. You can't solder fibre-optics, though there is a specific way of splicing it - that's what they do if they need to service the stuff in the phone system.

If you pooch the jack in the process, you'll be no worse off - you can replace that next if it goes south in the process. My .02 c | |
