1176ln Rev D 110/220v

Hi! I know that Rev E and onwards supports 220V, however the Rev D should be able to switch to 220V as well by re-wiring the power transformer, similar to how it's done one LA2's. Can't seem to find the info anywhere though, or the original manual. Anyone who knows how to do this? I assume it's a simple matter of bridging the middle pins, and removing the 2 bridges on the outer pins. Just want to be sure though, I'd die if this box dies!

Look at D schematic page (bottom right corner)

Remove strapping jumpers on the primary for 120V service which is 1-2 and 3-4.

To set to 240V, remove strapping as above and attach one on 2-3. This should be the only jumper strap you have.

Worst case you can replace the transformer with a 35VA torodial transformer from here Hairball Audio

You should also change the fuse to about 1/2 the size that was installed on the 120V unit.

It should be something like 24V-35V AC on the secondaries outputs if working correctly.

If the transformer gets hot... something is wrong.

Before you close the lid let her sit for a while and check the voltages to make sure she is in good operation.
