Otari Mx-80 remote error 90

I am having an intremittent problem on my Otari Mx-80 24 track.
when I power up I get error 90(initial communication error) and the remote wont enable tracks to record then after 15-30 minutes lights come on the remote and it's fine for a while and then sometimes the remote conks out again.
when it conks out I still have transport function on the remote.

sometimes when i power up I get error 92 (endefined error) but only for a moment and then all is ok.

dan Zellman did a bunch of work to correct this when it happened last year but it is back. because of the intermittentcy not even sure what the fix was!!

someone said it may be noise on the ac line causing the error and I did see a bulletin from otari about that but so hard to tell if that is the cause. I dont think it is.
anyone else have this problem?
all cables and connections are good
the power supply was rebuilt
software is the latest.
the intermittent problem is such a pain to track down
as soon as a tech shows up it works!!!

any insight or ideas about what the cause may be would be a big help
thanks

I dealt with this many decamoons ago.....
seems like I cleaned and reseated the transport card in the cage,
Opened the remote and checked all ribbons and chips (the old push and wiggle)
and replaced the remote cable.
There was also some switch position issue on the card I spoke of earlier...
When I get to the studio I'll open mine up and refresh my memory..
When all that had been done it worked again.
Sorry I can't be anymore help
