edge connectors - where to buy?

So, I'm going to build a modular 8 channel passive mixer with a gain stage on the output to replace a Mackie that's going on the fritz. It's not for "DAW Summing" It's just to get a basic mixer that will be reliable, serviceable and very simple for our video suites here.

I'd like to have the channels mate to the chassis with "edge connectors" kinda like API's and the like. Basically each channel will be a little rectangular circuitboard that I assemble, fader and mounting faceplate on top, edgeconnector on the bottom.

Where do I get these type of parts?

My mixer design is fairly basic, passive summing network, and a transistor makeup stage.

I'm using the schematics at ForssellTech.com as a basis. I haven't decided yet whether to build the one with mutes and pans (probably, those things are useful in a video suite!) or the simpler one.

Any comments?

API use EDAC edge connectors. You can get them at Mouser and Digikey.

Sullins is another brand stocked by Mouser and/or DigiKey. Between them and EDAC I've usually found any size I've needed.

Of course, those are just the femal connectors. You still need to come up with the "blades" which are part of the circuit board. Some "prototyping" boards (maybe from Vector?) include edge fingers as part of the board.

Another possibility is to use a DIN 41612 ("eurocard") 2-part connector system. I've seen those used in desks made by DDA and Amek.
