Thread Starter | RMG,Tape calibration ,DAW ,Studer,Levels , Hi I have couple of questions for you guys and hope somebody can help me . I have 1/4 " studer A80 running at 15 " and i am using RMG SM 468 tape . In RMG specifications is written that this tape is +12 db ( 15" 320 nWb/m) I would like to match levels with my DAW because i am mixing down to studer. So what i think i should do is play the test tape at 250nwb/m which is 2db less than 320nWb/m ( right ? ) and set up the playback output of my studer to read -14 dbfs on my converters, so after i am done with calibrating the deck i can mix ITB peaking at - 0 dbfs in my DAW . Is this correct calculation ? Thanks |
