Anyone have any cool mods for an Auditronics 110a console?

Recently aquired a 24 channel "grandson 110a" console made by auditronics... I'm guessing it's from the mid to late 70's or so. We will be going thru it over the next couple of months as it needs a little work to get it up to spec. It has the 110b input modules with jenson tranformers on the mic preamp and an inducter based eq. These things sound pretty neat, unlike anything else I have heard. Anybody work on these boards before and have any cool mods for them? Thanks.

I've done some of those in the past. The usual chip/cap/psu/EQ mods.

Hey Jim what kind of mods did you do the eq? Different freq's wider / narrower q...?
What was your impression of the sound of the console after you did your mods?

Auditronics 110 console mod

I have a 24 ch 110 console.Mine had some mods done to the output cards when I bought it from a guy that worked at API. It has 2520 type op amps in place of the 5534 chip mounted on a sister board that sits above where the 5534 op amp chip was. I have some spare cards if anyone wants to try some. I don't have any extra 2520's but I have tried some Melcor and other brands and I like the Melcors on them.Makes the bottom even bigger then it is with an api 2520.

You can always try different input transformers on them to change the color.I have API line input tranys on mine because I don't track through my console,I only mix through it.The api tranys make it a little brighter sounding then the Jensen.

I also tried an UTC O series mic input trany that sounded brighter then the jensen.

Bottom end dies at 150 Hz????? Sounds like "tired" coupling capacitors to me.
