Need precision DAW volume control plug-in

I've been doing a lot of file nulling lately, to compare minor difference in Wave files. One problem I keep running into is that most DAW programs can't adjust the track volume finer than 0.1 dB increments. I searched for a VST plug-in to adjust volume (only) in tiny increments, but came up empty. I know this is low-tech and not a typical application. But does anyone know of such a plug-in? Free is best of course!

I'm pretty sure Sonalksis Free-G will do this. Check their website. It's free.
