Thread Starter | Building a VU Meter Bridge Recently I scrapped a Tascam 44 1/4" tape machine for parts. I kept the meter bridge which includes 4 TEAC VU's and 8 attenuation pots meant to adjust input and output level for the machine. I would like to use the VU's to monitor outputs from my daw. Can someone point me in the right direction here? Essentially I have 4 vu's and I want to use them to monitor whatever signal I send it via xlr connectors which I will normalize. Do I need to create a power supply? thanks! -p |

| if your using it on the same signal your recording/monitoring then you need a buffer. try this VU Buffer kit page |

Thread Starter | The bulbs on my TEAC VU's are soldered in. It's probably not so hot to get in there to replace them. |
