Moving / Flying faders

Hi there
Are there any companies making stand alone moving fader units using Penny & Giles or any other 100mm faders. I am thinking of the hardware and software system that follows timecode. Several companies integrate some into their own system but I may want to 'buy one in' rather than design from scratch.
I suppose another pertinent question to be answered by users is whether moving faders are still useful?
I look forward to your learned comments.
Matt

I think Martin Sound is still selling "Flying Faders", at least their web site makes it sound like they are.

There used to be a company called "Audiomate"? that had a more economical system. I don't know if they are still around. A quick search on the web did not turn up anything.

Reading your post over again, Are you looking to retrofit the faders into your console, or are you wanting a stand alone fader-pack?

Hi

I think that you'll find Uptown Automation less expensive than either Martin Sound's Flying Faders or AMS-Neve's Encore.

I didn't think UpTown was still in the game. But if they are, they will be way cheaper that Flying Faders. I think that AudioMate was even cheaper than UpTown.

Thanks for the leads so far, I shall check them out later.
The desk is on the drawing board at the moment but I am not sure if people really want 'Flying Faders'.
I was one of the people at AMEK who was responsible in getting their faders going and I know it has to be GOOD and RELIABLE to be worth doing at all. Don't bother with comments on the AMEK faders...I already know!
