Is AES EBU mono possible?

Hi everybody,

I just bought the 1073 DPD from Neve. I would like to link the AES Output to an Hosa digital convertor (1 AES stereo in plug).

On the Neve rear panel, there's 2 AES output (1/L and 2/R). So I guess those are 2 mono outputs.
Am I supposed to buy some sort of 2 mono -->1 stereo cable?
At the cable store, they told me it's not standard stuff. So I may ask to custom-make them.

Any idea?

Thanks

The neve literature is a bit fuzzy on this, but I am assuming that the dual outputs allow it to be used with recorders or processing that requires dual wire for higher sample rates. essentially is is a mono output. Most nowadays that uses AES operates fine in single wire mode for higher sample rates. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Hey guys,
I just got the dpd too, and I'm wondering how things turned out for you 7ciel. I am trying to figure out an economical way of utilizing both aes outputs at once. Is there any cable/device that will convert two mono aes signals into one stereo? I've got that HOSA aes-coax device as well and would like to use it.
Thanks in advance!
