Thread Starter | BC-xxx transistor pinouts
I sit here servicing a Trident Series 80 Aux module -- a BC-413 or two got fried, and I do have replacements in stock, but the package is different. The old ones are D shaped, mine are round, and I guess I'll have to (once again) figure out, lead by lead, how the thing should be soldered in. Maybe it just drops in with the leads lined up with the holes, maybe not. You know what I mean. Sometimes the base is in the middle, sometimes on one side. Sometimes you need to criss-cross a couple of leads or turn the replacement backwards, sometimes not. Is there a reference somewhere, that details these various packages and pinouts? I've never seen any such thing, but it sure would be handy. Perhaps one of you guys who specializes in Brit or Euro stuff will have a lead or a link. Thanks in advance.

| Not sure who makes the BC series, but you could look at the schematic. Identify the holes CBE and then use a Hfe tester in a multi-meter to find the right leads.... -tINY |

LOL Tiny, that's essentially what I've been doing every time this has come up, over the last 20 years. But it's a pain. My question is: does anyone know of a site or a reference book that would have pinouts and/or basing info for these BC-xxx transistor styles. There must be something out there, this family of components has been around for a long time and seems to have been produced by several manufacturers. |

| Who is the manufacturer? There should be a logo on the package somewhere. -tINY |
