The pots were made by Omeg and if you can work out the exact values you need they can be ordered from them directly. http://www.omeg.co.uk/

OMEG is your best bet. Make sure you get ALL your measurements exact. Bushing length, Bushing D alignment is MOST important and the one that's hardest to get right. PC mounting or solder lugs? Be SURE of what you need. Ask for a smple copy of what pot you want. And they'll send it to you. We are upgrading a Scorpion-II to accept real line inputs and got 40 pots from them/OMEG based upon a sample. They were really helpful. Great prices. Single Pots should be no more than $2.00 USD each in quantities of 25+. Double gangs/Dual concentrics are slighly more. All the best. Donnie D. in USA.

Thanks Donnie, If you have already ordered from Omeg, perhaps you could pass on the part numbers, which would save me a bit of time. I need to replace all the pots on the input channels and the two controlroom monitor pots. I emailled Audio Maintenance but no reply as yet. Tim. |

Tim, We have replaced our 4.7k mic amp gain pot with a 22k [custom made] line level pot for use with a new [custom designed] line level input board. The Mic amp is gone completely. Our board is now all line level only. For your pots, best bet is to remove one copy of each you want replaced and mail them to Margaret Grantham at Omeg. E-mail her at: omeg.admin@omeg.co.uk. Otherwise, it's very easy to get the WRONG pot. The model numbers are NOT very reliable. Some pots are larger, some smaller, some are double gang, some have mounting flanges and others not. Most importantly, the D of the shaft has to be EXACT in order to line up with both the knob and legends on the panel properly. Our board is being upgraded by me and have had to do a massive amout of re-engineering to get it to sound right. But it was well worth the effort. The TAC Scorpion-II board is AWESOME. But take your time to get it right. Otherwise, it won't payoff or come out properly. TIME is essential for what you want to do. There's no other way around this. Good Luck. |
