High end lightpipe...is there a difference?

I'm running your basic Hosa lightpipe with my rig...I've seen some high end "audiophile quality" optical cable out there and wondered if the difference is audible.

Screw the specs...I just want to know if you can hear a difference.

Anyone done any A/B testing?

Thanks,
Dyno

Jitter is only a problem for playback, so your D/A is all that matters, but still.... buy glass cables. They make you feel warm and fuzzy

Do a search here or on DUC and other places.
Many things has been written about toslinks,
people have A/B'ed and argued.

I bought glass cables for my mix rig, it worked ok.
But when I got my HD, the toslink ports were placed to close to eachother, so that the bigger connectors on my glass cables didn't fit pefectly. I lost sync and got digital noise. So that's the first advice I can give you: check out your adat ports and the space between them...

So I guess it wouldn't benifit me to run glass cables coming out of my A/D while tracking to HDR?
