HELP Microlynx MM1200

Just got a Microlynx setup with my MM1200
worked fine for a couple of hours then it stopped to work with locate points

The thing that happens is that:
When I press locate on the microlynx remote the mm1200 starts to rewind but just before it hits the right time the mm1200 freaks out and all the RECORD/READY lamps lights up and all the S/SYNC lamps

also the STANDY MONITOR lamps S/SYNC and M/MON lights up
no matter what is choosed.

I have to restart the MM1200 to get back to normal mode.

Anyone have any experince with this problem and hopefully a solution.

could it be that the wrong machine is loaded, and hence, the protocols are wrong?

outside of that, it seems like perhaps a dip switch setting, or perhaps a cable issue....

dont microlynx also have an internal battery? perhaps that is bad and it cant hold its marker info?
