Lexicon 480 parts

Hi folks,

I have a 480L in the repair shop since June! and I tired of waiting for Lexicon's agent's in London to get the parts needed. They say they are waiting for some DRAMs 4464 for this machine.

Now the problem with the unit is that it does not function properly in "split mode". Single engine mode seems fine.

I will be in the USA in a couple of weeks and if I could pick up the parts I need it would be great.

Many thanks
DW

Perhaps you can order your parts direct from Lexicon, pay by credit card, and have them shipped to a hotel, friend's home, etc. in the U.S. to await your arrival.

Thanks David. That may be possible but here is a quote from London Lexicon:
"We're currently sourcing some DRAMs 4464 for this machine. They're quite an
old beast and are proving difficult to find now.

I'll let you know when we locate some."

This implies that it's hard to get parts for the 480L. I find that difficult to accept.

Does anyone have a name of someone at Lexicon (USA) who I could contact?

Thank you

The 4464 was commonly used in Commodore 64's and 128's, as well as in many early graphics cards. They should NOT be difficult to find..

Google finds:

My local parts-pusher has them - Part no.:4124464-100:

Should be able to find them though America II electronics or partminer.com.
