Speck Xtramix - program master pot broken

Hello,

recently I bought a Speck Xtramix for a very nice prize, but it has a broken potentiometer for the program master volume. I assume, that it happend while the shipping: the potentiometers screw nut is the only(!) part which fixes the corresponding pcb to the housing of the mixer. It would be a miracle if it would NOT break.

My questions are: is this a known problem with Xtramix'es? Does anyone out there know where to get a spare part? (I also wrote to Speck).

Best to get in touch with Vince @ Speck - he'll fix you up.

I don't think there are any known issues with this unit, except channels are not easily worked on due to the cramped packaging of all the components.

I hope for you the replacement for the master section is an easy fix - best of luck!

No it's not a problem with the Xtramix.

Obviously it was damaged before or during shipment. Perhaps you should talk to the seller, then call or email Speck, instead of posting on this forum.
All the best.

It appears that you bought a damaged Xtramix... for a very nice price!

I'm not in the "miracle" business but can tell you that if someone/something hits a rotary pot hard enough it might break. If you've taken time to look inside the Xtramix chassis, you should find that the PCB for the program master board is affixed to the chassis with the pot nut (like most mixers in this world) as well as an internal mounting bracket.

It is not a known problem!

Send me a email and we'll try to get you a replacement part. vince@speck.com

Hello Vince,

The price was really ok (even with the broken potentiometer).

Ok, if there should be an internal mounting bracket, then it is clear. This bracket is missing.

For all others: I received immediately a private mail from vince, where we will do the business part. Thank you again, for the fast response to everyone!
