Apologies to EveAnna

Some might remember that I was asking around here for my allegedly noisy Manley Slam!

Last week there was a technician at my place who has been so kind and measured the device for me and it showed to be up to specs.

I still think that I have too noisy results, but they might come from whatever, maybe convertors or the fact that the rack stands on the case where the PC is in. ( Shielded, but ... ) Yet have to find out, but whatever, thought it worth to mention that the Slam! indeed is working fine.

Sorry, EveAnna, for having unsubstantiatedly doubted on that wonderful box.

I thought David Manley designed the SLAM?

Surely you jest - as far as I know David has not been involved w/Manley for MANY years. Hutch designed the SLAM. And mine dead quiet. NO noise. Cool for Rufus to come back with new findings.

If you still find it too noisy in your chain, you can sell your "broken" slam to me for cheap.

Or there's this guy in England that's good at selling them real cheap. And real fast.

Yours doesn't have a legit serial number does it? If so, then that's a real deal breaker.

You´re a second too late, guys, just this afternoon I soldered out some parts of it in order to repair the vacuum cleaner. It cleans much better now and I think it sounds smoother too.

Lynn, none of my gear has a legit serial number, they are all replica made in Honkong.
With the Slam! unfortunately they haven´t been too exact though, it has written "Mainly Slam?" on it.
But apart from that little mistake it looks really cool.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Hutch designed the SLAM!® since, like, there's a picture of him and SLAM-GUTS all over his bench on the SLAM! page and he spent 2 years in his lab next to my office designing the damn thing....

Ruphus, you may apologize to him personally next time you see him. Get those levels up!

(Wow, Ruphus, you do post a lot! Thanks for taking the time to post this thread.)

Yeah, I realized that I should address to Hutch too, tried to change the headline correspondingly right afterwards, but somehow one can´t change it.
I´m glad that you like my post count.

Greetings to Hutch, I thought him to be a sympathic person when I saw him in Berlin.
