Modding an API 500V rack for stereo linking?

Has anyone ever modded a 500V rack to enable stereo linking? I have a pair of Purple Actions and would like the option to link them. I saw a post a while back from Ed Anderson @ purple about modding a lunchbox, but it doesn't look like the rack comes apart the same way.

Specs say Pin 3: Link In, Pin 6: Link Out. So you would need to connect the link out (pin6) from the master action comp to the link in (pin 3)on the slave one , I assume. The Purple rack has the link in and out come to an xlr socket on the back so you can have the link when you need it by connecting an xlr cable, or leave it out and the link pins aren't connected when you are using other modules in that slot. If you want to drill holes you can wire the link in and outs to connectors so you have the option to use other modules in the same slots.
