| adding a meter to channel strip Hey guys got a quick question for you all I want to add a led meter to my pm1000 channel strips, I have seen many diy kits out there including some cool vu meter kits from jlm. first off how would you supply the power for one of these little guys (they work off 12v supply, and my pm1000 supply is 44v)? second where would I insert in the signal? and third How hard would it be to make the meter switch between pre eq and post eq? Thanks |

| Option 1: DC/DC converter from 48V to 12V. May introduce RFI Option 2: a transformer, rectifier, filter, linear voltage regulator. Better, but bigger. Option 3: Wallwart DC power supply, much cheaper and may be enuff for meters.

| cool thanks, I will try the wall wart first since its the cheapest. So I can run the wallwart supply directly to the meter? Thats cool any idea on where to insert the meter into the signal path |
