Not to be discouraging, but if this is your first endeavor into electronics, this is probably not the best project to start on. The parts to some opamps can be rather expensive and they're rather easy to blow up, and it is possible it could take whatever preamp you put your opamp into with it. My advice for you is to read up on the subject. Get to know a little about the basics before attempting to build something. Then try some guitar pedals or a couple of simpler devices before tackling this one.

this is not my first project

but i am a greenie.

i just don't know how to look at a schematic and then know what values parts should be..

if i had a BOM then i'd be just fine.

Ah, Tim didn't actually put the component values in the schematic. I suspect that this was on purpose.

You might drop him a line and ask; he's a helpful fellow...
