We hope to receive some assistance from the forum. As to your other question you can send the heads to JRF for a complete evaluation. Eric

The error 90 is a problem because the remote cannot find the PCB. This is the PCB in the low right corner. Remove the PCB and plug it in again and turn the machine on again. There's a good chance that the problem is history. It's normal that it says error 92 for a few seconds.

The joke is that the only digital part of the machine, the communication between the PCB and the remote causes trouble. :D

If the problem of the 90 or 99 error stays, you'll have to look at the multipin connectors on the back of the motherboard where the RC PCB is connected. This is accessible from the backside of the machine. Don't be afraid, it's a piece of cake. All multipins are gold plated and it's a little dirt or dust most of the time, plugging out and in again solves the problem.

Don't be afraid, the machine has many multipin connectors, but it's not very complicated. Look on the motherboard with a loupe for cold solderings. The machine is very reliable, most problems with tapemachines and mixing boards are because of solderings and connectors. Look inside a big Neve and you will faint. :D

Thanks Han
Where should I start to look for clean up? "Error 70" come up briefly before machine boot up complete. After that machine start rolling as normal (If I pull off the multine pin at the Auto locator controller) Where should I start to check. Any help would be appriciate.

Maybe you should try at Dave's board at PSW. I'm afraid I can't help very much from this distance.
