Allen Heath System8 MKIII Schematics...

Anyone got 'em?

Would be happy to pay a small fee for your trouble in either emailing them, or making copies and mailing them.

I am wanting to recap the master section. I updated the power supply, and am ready to take my first plunge into soldering something other than cables.

Also, this next question will show my inexperience, but... while I'm "operating," is it worth it to replace the op-amps in the Master section? Are there any op-amps in the Master section?

Thanks so much!!!

-Neil

w00t Nice to see so many system 8 users. I also have one. As Left Hand said, the schematics are on the website, however I will thumb through my manual and see if their in there.

Cheers!

Thanks guys for the replies!

I also have the manual but it only has a block diagram and not any schematics.

I am really enjoying the console, but are y'alls EQs super "tinny" sounding in the high end? Just curious.

Anyway, thanks,

-Neil

Wow somehow I missed the original post, but I don't hang out in Geekslutz too much.

I've got a service manual if anybody needs docs, mine is a Mk III, 16 x 8, I love the thing, other than the control room and headphone pots being scratchy and a sorta dead channel (found after I had reinstalled the thing after a thorough cleaning and VU bulb replacement....didn't feel like unhooking everything) it's been rock solid....well, errrr the PSU did go out but only after getting abused by repeated power outs while I was out of the house for a couple of hours and had left the console on.

Funny thing is the PSU didn't fail until several hours later....

im a little confused with this board, i was looking through the manual because i was interested in buying someone's 16 channel mkIII 1616, i thought it was able to record up to 16 channels simultaneously and i thought i could track with it into my daw an bring it back into the board but it seems like it wouldn't be as many channels as i thought and isn't very versatile. Does anyone have experience with this model?
